DAY 1 / MONDAY / BOGOTA
Reception at El Dorado airport and transfer to the 5* Hotel de la Opera (2 nights, breakfast).
DAY 2 / TUESDAY / BOGOTA CITY TOUR
After breakfast, walking to the sacred MONSERRAT, going up by cable car and time to visit the local market, where you can taste typical products, such as coca tea, aromatica, canelazo, rompecalzón, or taste the local specialty "ajíaco" (thick soup). Afterwards, a walk down to the city center and a tour of the historic core, a visit to the Gold Museum, where you will see the largest collection of pre-Hispanic goldsmith art. A walk on Bolivar Square and a tour of the picturesque district "LA CANDELARIA". We recommend visiting the Boter Museum.
DAY 3 / WEDNESDAY / PASTO - LAGOON LA COCHA - SIBUNDOY
In the morning transfer and flight to Antonio Nariño airport in the Andean city of PASTO and continuation to SIBUNDOY, on the way we will make a panoramic stop and a boat cruise on the LA COCHA lagoon, the second largest lake in Colombia and one of the most energetic points at this altitude! A short walk to a sacred waterfall with a native woman and a typical lunch. Arrival in the afternoon to Sibundoy. Accommodation in CABINS.
DAY 4 / THURSDAY / SIBUNDOY - ANCESTRAL HEALING (SHAMAN)
Light breakfast (For people taking medicine). Reception and cleansing of energies with incense to enter the ,,maloca". Conversation around the ,,Tulpa" and delivery of cleansing drugs for people taking medicine. Light lunch (For people taking medicine). Conversation around the fire or ,,Tulpa" as it is traditionally called to understand the medicine process and personal intention. Tour of the botanical garden to learn about medicinal plants and their uses. Preparation for taking the Yagé (Ayahuasca) remedy (Not included in the plan). At night Yagé (Ayahuasca) ceremony until early morning.
DAY 5 / FRIDAY / SIBUNDOY - THERMAL WATERFALL EL SALADO - MOCOA
Rest for those who took the remedy. A part of the recovery stay can also be a climb to the EL SALADO thermal waterfalls, only for people in good physical shape. Arrival in the afternoon at MOCOA and accommodation at the SUMAWASI 3* hotel (2 nights, breakfast, lunch, dinner).
DAY 6 / SATURDAY / MOCOA - PORT OF LIMON - TUBING ON THE CAQUETÁ RIVER
After breakfast, we will head to the Amazon region to the CAQUETÁ River, which is a direct tributary of the Amazon, the largest river in the world! Small communities live along the Caquetá River, we will visit one of them, PUERTO LIMÓN, the grandfathers and grandmothers like to tell us about their lives. We will take a walk along the river through lush tropical nature, we will get to know the local fauna and flora and finally we will descend on the tires along the Caquetá River surrounded by the Amazon jungle. We will enjoy the most beautiful panoramas!
DAY 7 / SUNDAY / WATERFALL FIN DEL MUNDO - LA HORMIGA
After breakfast, walk to the river, following the path that borders the river we will reach a cave where we will have the opportunity to have a small snack, among hanging vines and a view of the bubbling stream of water. During the tour we can take a bath, although the water is quite cold. After the walk, return to the hotel, time to relax in the pool and continue towards the Ecuadorian border to the town of LA HORMIGA, where we will learn about the cultivation and processing of cocoa and where we will get the best chocolate! Accommodation in a local hotel (1 night, breakfast, lunch, dinner).
DAY 8 / MONDAY / LA HORMIGA - LAGO AGRIO - NP CUYABENO (ECUADOR)
Early in the morning, journey to the border crossing, procedures and entry to Ecuador, where an Ecuadorian transfer will be waiting for us, then journey to a small river port, from where we will sail by boat to the “CUYABENO WILDLIFE RESERVE”, considered one of the most beautiful reserves of the Ecuadorian Amazon. Cuyabeno NP has incredible biodiversity! The trip continues by boat to the resort, where we will stay and have lunch. After lunch a little relaxation. In the afternoon we will go to the lagoon, where we will witness a magical sunset. We will observe monkeys, parrots, morph butterflies and if we are lucky we will even see pink river dolphins! At nightfall, return to the lodge, dinner and overnight. Accommodation at the DOLPHINE LODGE (3 nights, full board).
DAYS 9 - 10 / TUESDAY - WEDNESDAY / ACTIVITIES IN NATIONAL PARK OF CUYABENO
The next two days are full of adventures! We will experience the awakening of the jungle, we will make our way through dense vegetation and observe the Amazonian fauna and flora, the local guides will introduce us to the mystery of medicinal plants and if we are lucky, we will meet a shaman who will explain his healing methods to us, and traditional medicine. The bravest will have the opportunity to swim in the murky waters of the Cuyabeno River. At dusk, we'll head out to encounter alligators and other nocturnal creatures.
DAY 11 / THURSDAY / NP CUYABENO - QUITO
In the morning navigation from the lodge back to the small river port, return by bus along the panoramic Amazon route to the capital of Ecuador, QUITO. Accommodation at IKALA 4* hotel (3 nights, breakfast).
DAY 12 / FRIDAY / QUITO CITY TOUR
After breakfast, tour of the historic center of QUITO (UNESCO), one of the highest capitals in the world (2,850 m). A stop at Panecillo, where a 45 m high statue of the Virgin Mary stands, from where you have a wonderful view of the city and the surrounding volcanoes. Then a tour of the Plaza Grande with the Government Palace, the Cathedral, the Church of La Compañía de Jesús and the Plaza San Francisco with the monastery. In the afternoon, free time to enjoy the city.
DAY 13 / SATURDAY / OTAVALO INDIGENOUS MARKET & LAGOON OF CUICOCHA & COTACACHI TOWN
Departure in the morning to Otavalo. Stop at the sundial, Quitsato and tasting of traditional Cayambe biscuits. Then a brief stop at the Mira Lago viewpoint. Arrival at the Plaza de los Ponchos, free time approximately 2 hours. We continued to the Cuicocha lagoon to take photos and finally arrived at the town of Cotacachi where we found many stores selling all kinds of leather products. Return to Quito.
DAY 14 / SUNDAY / TRANSFER TO THE AIRPORT
Transfer to the airport of Quito and ,,Hasta pronto en Ecuador".
DAY 14 / SUNDAY / LAGOON QUILOTOA
After breakfast, we will drive through the beautiful Andean plateau towards the south, to the QUILOTOA region. We will stop at a viewpoint from where we will observe the beautiful Quilotoa lagoon with its incredible turquoise hues. The lagoon is located in the middle of a volcanic crater and is considered one of the most beautiful volcanic lagoons in the world! We will have the unique opportunity to go down the slopes of the crater to the lagoon, where we can also rent a kayak. The way back is somewhat difficult, so we recommend riding a mule (up to 90 kg) for people with less physical condition. On the way, a short stop at a craft workshop in the town of Tigua, famous for its paintings on sheep skins. Return to Quito in the afternoon.
